York ham or cooked ham is a cooked cold cuts, derived from pork. It is characteristic of its pink color and milder flavor than other hams, which is why in some places it is also called sweet ham. It is made up of a single piece or block, composed of minced lean meat and animal fat to which a large quantity of brine is previously injected through a process known as "injection." The meat can come from the hind leg of the pig, but also from other cuts. There are substitutes also made with turkey meat.

These beef meatballs are part-cooked (flash fried) in vegetable oil to a final weight of 15g and are packed in foil laminate pouches ready to be removed and heated to >75°C in a microwave, oven or BBQ then eaten. The product has a firm but chunky texture and a meaty beef taste.
